About The Founder Of Scrap 4 It

Jennifer was introduced to scrapbooking over 8 years  ago when a friend showed her, her scrapbooks. She never thought she would be good at, but she had natural talent for creating.  It became her passion. Jennifer’s been sharing her passion for scrapbooking by teaching for over 4 years. Her students say she is a truly genuine person who they love to take classes from.
Recently she has been teaching both traditional and digital scrapbooking at Scrapbooker’s Paradise in Calgary, Alberta. She feels blessed to have found a job that is rewarding and fulfilling at the same time. She never thinks of teaching scrapbooking as a job. How can it be... it’s way to fun to be called a job!!!
Jennifer resides in Calgary, Alberta with her husband of 15 years, and their three kids Megan (8), Kaitlin (4) and Ben (3). Although three kids keep her on her toes, she loves chasing them around with her camera. They’ve become the subjects of most of her pages. It’s not unheard of for Jennifer to change the kids’ clothing in order to get the perfect picture for the perfect paper she has.
This fall Jennifer fulfilled her dream of being published in a scrapbooking magazine. She was published in Canadian Scrapbookers Fall 2008 edition. She will also be published in their Spring 2009 edition. She has recently been added to the Monday Night Class design team.

How Scrap 4 it and Crop 4 kids was formed

Jennifer had heard of other cities having a “crop for kids” to benefit their local Children’s Hospitals. She thought:  why not Calgary?
Jennifer has three children; Megan (8) Kaitlin (4) and Ben (3). With three kids she would have visited the hospital at some time but.... someone had other plans for her and her husband. They visit the hospital at least twice a month with one of the kids. Megan and Kaitlin have a rare genetic condition called (PCD) Primary Cilia Dyskinosia. PCD is a progressive disorder affecting organ systems that rely on ciliary activity for proper function. These organ systems include the upper and lower respiratory tract, and the middle ear. Ben has not been diagnosed yet, but is showing the same signs as his sisters did. Like so many parents, they are thankful for the expertise and care of the Alberta Children's Hospital. She knew  it was her time to give back to them.
After attending a Scrapbooking retreat called “Scrapbook Your Heart” Jennifer had an
A-HA!!! moment, She knew after coming home from the  amazing, inspirational,  and truly life changing weekend that she had to do a Crop 4 kids in Calgary and give back to the hospital that had given her and her family so much.  After talking it over with her husband Scrap 4 It “Scrapbooking for a cause” was formed. Every event that Scrap 4 it plans has a portion or all of the proceeds go to a community charity.
